hunting as I see it

Over the last few years I've seen some amazing things around the hunting world. Some good and some bad. The good is always the sunrise and sunset while in stand or the time spent with good friends in camp. Few things in life can compete with that. I've seen a close friend take his first buck and his first whiteatail as well as another that took a world class deer. As a group of friends we've gone from regular hunters to a close knit group of videographers and avid sportsman. Just a few years ago we all talked of landing a Pro staff spot some day and now we've all served on several and have elevated to owning a business with our own staff. This coming year looks to be equally great if not greater. I have amazing hunts lined up that are sure to provide a lifetime of memories and trophy's for me to enjoy for year to come. I also have a great new business I'm involved in with some great guys that is sure to sky rocket into something special over the next twelve months. All these ventures have me one excited guy. Above all that though is the chance to continue to enjoy the freedoms of the outdoors. I could loose all the other stuff and still be happy as long as I am able to hunt and fish. As hunters we are given a great blessing in that we have that freedom and are able to enjoy it to the fullest. I desperately hope that does not change. My son is about to turn 7 and I want him to be able to enjoy hunting and fishing as I have. There are signs pointing to a possible change but I believe in the system and in the strenght we have in numbers and I believe we'll be able to fight this nastyness off. Forces will continue to rise against us but we are a powerful and determined group and we will prevail.
